President Bola Tinubu has called for an investigation into the recent assault on a military base in Sabon Gari, Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State, by suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters. The attack, which occurred on January 4, tragically claimed the lives of six soldiers.
The President, through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, expressed deep sympathy to the families of the deceased soldiers and emphasized the need to uncover the factors that led to the incident. Tinubu assured that the findings would help strengthen Nigeria’s defense strategies and prevent future occurrences.
