Along with the dismissals, Tinubu re-assigned ten ministers to new portfolios and appointed seven fresh faces, pending Senate confirmation.
The dismissed ministers include Uju-Ken Ohanenye, who headed the Ministry of Women Affairs, Lola Ade-John of Tourism, Tahir Mamman from the Ministry of Education, Abdullahi Gwarzo overseeing Housing and Urban Development, and Jamila Ibrahim, the former Minister of Youth Development.
In this reshuffle, notable appointments include Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Nentawe Yilwatda, who will lead the newly established Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, succeeding the suspended Betta Edu. Other appointments feature Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment, Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Idi Maiha as Minister for the new Livestock Development Ministry, and Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.
During the announcement, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the outgoing ministers for their service, wishing them well in future endeavors.
