President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerian governors and federal executives to focus on policies that directly benefit the nation's poor and vulnerable. Speaking at an Iftar dinner in Abuja, he emphasized the need for selfless leadership, likening governors to "navigators" responsible for steering Nigeria toward progress.

Addressing top government officials, service chiefs, and agency heads, Tinubu acknowledged the economic challenges but stressed that ongoing reforms are yielding positive results. He called for continued collaboration between the federal and state governments, urging leaders to see Nigeria as a single, united entity rather than divided interests.

The president’s remarks were met with appreciation from Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, who praised Tinubu’s decisive policies. Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia highlighted the significance of national unity, while Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi pointed to declining food prices as evidence of economic improvements.

Tinubu's message underscored his administration’s commitment to governance that prioritizes the people, reinforcing the call for all leaders to do more to uplift Nigerians.
