In a significant development, President Bola Tinubu has decided to withdraw the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) from the Treasury Single Account (TSA). This decision allows the Nyesom Wike-led FCTA to access and utilize the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the territory for the purpose of developing the nation's capital.
During a press conference held in Abuja, Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, revealed that President Tinubu had not only pulled the FCTA out of the TSA but had also granted approval for the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission. This move is expected to facilitate the career progression of the staff within the FCTA. These decisions mark a significant shift in the financial management and administrative structure of the Federal Capital Territory, paving the way for potential improvements and advancements in the region's development
