At the national trials held in Benin, Tobi Amusan reaffirmed her dominance in Nigerian athletics by securing her fourth consecutive national women’s 100m hurdles title with a commanding performance, clocking an impressive time of 12.78 seconds.

The 27-year-old world record holder from Ogun State outpaced her competitors, with Adaobi Tabugbo finishing second at 13.33 seconds and Faith Osamuyi taking third with 13.36 seconds.

Amusan’s victory not only solidifies her as Nigeria's top hurdler but also sets a promising tone for her preparations leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

She now gears up for the African Senior Athletics Championship in Cameroon later this month, where she aims to excel and strengthen her position on the global stage
