Manchester City's Pep Guardiola concedes the Premier League title may be out of reach if they lose to Liverpool following a 4-0 loss to Tottenham. With City struggling for form, Guardiola shifts focus to securing Champions League qualification as Liverpool maintains a commanding lead in the title race.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hinted at conceding the Premier League title if his team loses to Liverpool next weekend at Anfield. This comes after a shocking 4-0 defeat to Tottenham, marking City’s third consecutive Premier League loss and extending their winless streak across all competitions to five games.

Currently second in the league, City trails Liverpool by five points. A potential Liverpool victory over Southampton on Sunday could widen the gap to eight points, with a defeat at Anfield potentially stretching it to an insurmountable 11 points.

Speaking after the defeat, Guardiola acknowledged City’s current struggles, citing a "fragile" mentality and difficulty converting chances. “We’ve lost three Premier League games in a row. It’s a tough moment, but we must stay resilient. If Liverpool keeps winning, an 11-point gap will be hard to bridge,” he said.

Despite the setback, Guardiola praised Tottenham for their performance and urged his players to focus on short-term goals, such as securing Champions League qualification. “We’ve achieved success in the past by taking things step by step. That’s what we need to do now,” he added.

City’s next challenge is a midweek Champions League clash against Feyenoord, while Liverpool faces Real Madrid.
