Gunmen have killed the traditional ruler of Ochia Autonomous Community in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State, Paulinus Ekwueme, along with five other residents. The attack occurred on Friday night. Police spokesperson Henry Okoye said tactical teams were dispatched to the scene, where burnt corpses of the deceased were recovered. The remains have been deposited at the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Owerri, for autopsy. The police have launched a manhunt for the assailants.
