In a tragic turn of events, Michael Aregbesola, a Nigerian-born United States Naval Officer, met his untimely demise in the Red Sea after falling overboard during a mission. Aregbesola, an Aviation Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class assigned to the "Swamp Foxes" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74, was deployed with a detachment aboard the USS Mason (DDG 87) since November as part of the US 5th Fleet.
