Transcorp Hotels Plc has appointed Uzo Oshogwe as its new MD/CEO, effective January 1, 2025. With over 30 years of experience and a strong track record at Afriland Properties Ltd, Oshogwe is set to build on Dupe Olusola’s achievements, advancing the company’s growth in Nigeria’s hospitality sector.
Transcorp Hotels Plc has announced Uzo Oshogwe as its incoming Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025. Oshogwe, who previously led Afriland Properties Ltd as MD/CEO, takes over from Dupe Olusola, who has served in the role since 2020.
With a career spanning over three decades, Oshogwe brings a wealth of leadership experience from roles at organizations such as United Bank for Africa Plc and Accenture UK. Academically, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Ambrose Alli University and a Master’s in Information Systems Design from the University of Westminster. Additionally, she has completed executive programs at Lagos Business School and IESE Business School, in Spain.
During her tenure at Afriland Properties, Oshogwe steered significant growth, with the company achieving a 150% revenue increase in its last financial year. Her leadership approach is defined by innovation and strategic foresight, positioning her well for success at Transcorp Hotels.
Speaking on the appointment, Emmanuel Nnorom, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed confidence in Oshogwe’s capabilities to build on the company’s achievements. He highlighted her track record in driving organizational growth and her alignment with the company’s goals in Nigeria’s competitive hospitality sector.
