The Lagos State Police Command has initiated disciplinary action against officers accused of harassing and extorting ₦1 million from corps members in Surulere. Police Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the officers have been summoned, and their trial is underway.
The incident gained public attention after a video surfaced online showing a heated confrontation between the officers and the corps members. An X user who posted the video also alleged that the officers extorted the corps members.
SP Hundeyin assured the public that the matter is being thoroughly investigated, and justice will be served.
