William Troost-Ekong, captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, has assured fans that the team will be ready for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. The Super Eagles have been placed in Group C, where they will face Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania, in a tournament scheduled from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Troost-Ekong, who was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player in the previous AFCON edition, spoke with optimism about Nigeria’s prospects. He acknowledged that while the group is tough, the team’s experience will be a vital factor in their approach. He emphasized that every match in the competition will be challenging but expressed confidence that Nigeria has what it takes to advance and compete for the title.
