Nearly two years after the untimely death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, his wife, Wunmi, has spoken out about her ongoing pain and frustration. In an emotional interview with Chude Jideonwo, she revealed that she has yet to find closure as her husband's body remains unburied in the Yaba mortuary.
Wunmi expressed her distress over the delays, alleging that her father-in-law is deliberately preventing the burial. She disclosed that two autopsies—one government-mandated and another privately conducted—have been performed on Mohbad’s body, yet there has been no progress in laying him to rest. According to her, there is no justifiable reason for the continued delay, despite claims from Mohbad's father that the government is obstructing justice.
Beyond the burial delay, Wunmi revealed that she constantly receives death threats and no longer feels safe. She also accused her father-in-law of trying to take control of her late husband’s assets while undermining her role as Mohbad’s widow. Additionally, she alleged that her son, Liam, has been subjected to ridicule.
The controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death and its aftermath continues to generate discussions among fans and the public, with many calling for a resolution to the ongoing family disputes.
