
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has been honoured with the chieftaincy title ‘Ugosimba 1 of Enugu’ (Eagle from another Land) by traditional rulers in Enugu State. The honour celebrates her humanitarian work and affection for the state during a two-day visit to the South East region.
- Oluremi Tinubu received the title on Tuesday during a working visit to Enugu.
- Igwe Ikechukwu Asadu, Council chairman, said her support for nurses, midwives, and the poor inspired the honour.
- Tinubu called the award “God-ordained” and thanked Enugu for its peace and hospitality.
- She described it as meaningful to her entire family, including President Tinubu.
- The First Lady previously served three terms in the Senate and holds a CON award.
