Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has revealed a shocking theft of ₦180 million from his NGO’s bank account. In a video posted on Instagram, Otse explained that his NGO’s website was hacked, and the funds were diverted to an unknown account. He noted that the account is now flagged with a Post No Debit (PND) status, with only ₦20 million remaining. The hacker managed to steal ₦160 million before the breach was detected.
Following the discovery, Otse confirmed that one suspect had been apprehended, and the police are actively working to trace additional individuals involved in the crime. The NGO’s app was also temporarily shut down to prevent further unauthorized access. Otse assured his followers that efforts are underway to recover the stolen funds, and updates will be shared as progress is made.
Otse’s NGO, the Martins Vincent Osei Initiative, was launched in October 2024 and quickly gained attention, raising over ₦35 million in donations. Notably, popular music producer Don Jazzy contributed ₦100 million to the initiative shortly after its launch. The stolen funds now threaten the integrity of the initiative, but Otse remains committed to recovering the missing money.
