Kenneth Okonkwo, a Nigerian actor and former spokesperson for the Labour Party's presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, has raised concerns about the state of governance in Nigeria, warning of impending anarchy.
In a recent interview with journalist Seun Okinbaloye, Okonkwo criticized the current government's policies, stating that Nigeria cannot be governed like Lagos, where decrees are expected to be followed without question.
He expressed disillusionment with the administration, comparing it unfavorably to its predecessor. Okonkwo also criticized President Tinubu for allegedly prioritizing his children over federal ministers during a recent visit to Qatar, accusing him of undermining the dignity of Nigeria's military. Additionally, Okonkwo raised issues regarding political appointments, alleging favoritism towards individuals from the Lagos area associated with Tinubu's political network.
The actor's comments underscore growing discontent with the government's handling of affairs and highlight concerns about nepotism and regional bias in decision-making processes.
