Based on an eyewitness report, the Nigerian army instigated the violence. Subsequently, soldiers opened fire, resulting in casualties including youths, children, women, and elderly individuals. The tragic incident, described as a genocide, unfolded in Okuama from March 14th to 17th, 2024, leaving a heartbreaking toll on the community.
