Femi Falana, a senior advocate in Nigeria, faces death threats after suing activist VeryDarkMan, who accused him and his son of trying to secure a presidential pardon for Bobrisky. Falana denounces the threats and emphasizes the need for justice amid rising intimidation.

Femi Falana, a leading senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has disclosed that he and his family have received threats following his decision to take legal action against the activist known as VeryDarkMan. This move comes after VeryDarkMan released an audio recording where Bobrisky, a popular crossdresser, alleged that Falana and his son, rapper Falz, attempted to secure a presidential pardon for her during her imprisonment for naira abuse.

In the recording, Bobrisky claimed that Falz reached out to her while she was incarcerated, implying that they sought her release in exchange for N10 million. In response to these accusations, both Falana and Falz have warned VeryDarkMan of potential legal consequences unless he retracts his statements and apologizes.

In a recent interview, Falana shared his alarm over the threats made against him and his daughter, mentioning that some individuals have threatened to set his office on fire and harm his family if he continues with the lawsuit. He called the situation “disturbing” and reassured his daughter that they would take necessary actions to address the threats. Falana emphasized the seriousness of the intimidation, stating, “We must also let these guys know where we are coming from,” reinforcing his resolve to seek justice despite the challenges he faces.
