Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, declared on Monday that he is not afraid of leaving office and remains committed to leading with integrity, honor, and respect. Speaking at the inauguration of the newly reconstructed Government House Staff Quarters in Port Harcourt, Fubara emphasized that his leadership is driven by the pursuit of truth and the well-being of Rivers people. He expressed confidence that despite any political challenges, he would stand firm in his decisions, ensuring the state's progress.

Fubara also called on the people of Rivers State to take control of their destiny and reject external influences trying to manipulate the state’s affairs. Highlighting his administration’s accomplishments, he shared that the staff quarters project, which had been dilapidated, was now completed and would improve the living conditions of government workers. This project, according to Fubara, reflects the genuine efforts of his administration to provide purpose-driven governance that values the welfare of its people.

He assured the public that he would always defend his actions, regardless of the political climate, and quoted from Philippians 3:18-19 to reinforce his commitment to truth and justice. The event, which also included remarks from the Chief of Staff and the Permanent Secretary of the Government House, showcased the continued focus on infrastructure development in the state.
