Nigerian singer Solidstar opened up about his struggles with hard substances, particularly crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as "ice." In a preview of an upcoming Honest Bunch podcast episode, he revealed being introduced to the drug in 2021 by a group of young boys.
Solidstar described the negative impact of the substance, stating that it heightened his sense of self-importance and led him to avoid paying for things. He recounted a seven-hour walk from Awoyaya in Ibeju Lekki to the Oriental Hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos, during his addiction.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Solidstar emphasized the detrimental effects of substance abuse and expressed regret over his experiences with ice, acknowledging the influence it had on his behavior and decision-making.
