Renowned Nigerian actor Abiodun Ayoyinka, popularly known as Papa Ajasco, recently met President Bola Tinubu at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. A video of their encounter has gone viral, capturing Tinubu, dressed in traditional attire, inviting the actor to approach him at the airport’s presidential wing.

Ayoyinka, 64, walked past security aides and greeted the president with a bow, showcasing mutual respect as the pair exchanged pleasantries. The meeting has sparked curiosity about their long-standing friendship.

President Tinubu, 72, was in Lagos to mark the Christmas and New Year celebrations his visit, he presented a proposed ₦49.7 trillion budget for 2025 to the National Assembly. Dubbed the “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace, Rebuilding Prosperity,” the proposal aligns with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on economic stability and improved living standards.

Ayoyinka is widely celebrated for his role in Papa Ajasco & Company, a hit television series that humorously addressed societal issues. Created by Wale Adenuga, the show became a cultural phenomenon, entertaining audiences in Nigeria and across 12 African countries.
