Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, the grieving father of late bank executive Herbert Wigwe, along with his daughter-in-law Chizoba and grandson Chizzy, who all tragically perished in a helicopter crash in California on February 9, has expressed his sentiments about the loss.
During a condolence visit by Ohaneze Ndigbo President Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, Pastor Wigwe, 89, shared his gratitude for the 57 years of joy his son brought him, stating that Herbert's departure from this world is not the end but a transition to another realm.
He urged visitors not to mourn excessively, emphasizing that life on Earth is temporary, akin to a marketplace where people come and go. The solemn occasion underscored the acceptance of fate and the transient nature of human existence.
Late Herbert, his wife, and son have been laid to rest in their hometown of Isiokpor, Rivers state. The heartfelt sentiments shared by Pastor Wigwe serve as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of profound loss.
