A female customs officer received a controversial farewell at Tin Can Port, Lagos, as port workers chanted “thief” on her final day at work. The incident, caught on video, shows workers expressing frustration, raising questions about her tenure, and revealing tensions between customs officers and the port community.

At Lagos's Tin Can Port, a female customs officer received an unexpected send-off on her last day at work. The officer, reportedly an Assistant Commissioner, was leaving her post on October 23 when port workers gathered outside the office to chant “Isa, ole,” which means “thief” in Yoruba. As she descended the staircase, workers held placards, raised their fists, and continued chanting even after she exited the premises.
