Suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio and ex-Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello of plotting to assassinate her. Speaking at her homecoming rally, she claimed Akpabio initiated her recall and instructed Bello to eliminate her. The matter has been reported to the police.

Suspended Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has made shocking allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, claiming they conspired to assassinate her.

Speaking during her homecoming rally on Tuesday, Akpoti-Uduaghan told supporters that although the alleged plot was not publicly revealed, she had officially reported the matter to the Inspector General of Police.

Detailing the events, she alleged that Akpabio had initially contacted Kogi Governor Usman Ododo, urging him to begin her recall process. When Ododo reportedly declined, citing her strong grassroots support, Akpabio allegedly reached out to Bello, promising to fund the recall effort.

Beyond the recall, she claimed the conversation took a more sinister turn. According to Akpoti-Uduaghan, Akpabio instructed Bello to orchestrate her assassination, emphasizing that the act should not take place in Abuja but rather in Kogi, so it could appear as a mob attack by the people.

"I was informed of everything," she stated. "I have already written to the IG of Police regarding this threat to my life."

Her allegations come amid ongoing political tensions following her controversial suspension from the Senate. Neither Akpabio nor Bello has publicly responded to the claims.

Political analysts believe this development could further escalate the crisis within the Nigerian Senate, while her supporters demand an immediate investigation into the allegations.
