Singer Timaya has expressed concern over the escalating global economic hardships, particularly in Nigeria. In a recent interview, he highlighted the difficulties faced by many, including rising costs for his staff and the entertainment industry. He noted that while struggles are felt worldwide, Nigeria's situation is especially dire.

Singer Inetimi Alfred Odom, better known as Timaya, has voiced his concerns about the rising cost of living and economic difficulties faced by people worldwide, particularly in Nigeria. In a recent interview with Channels Television, he shared his personal experiences with the escalating challenges.

Timaya emphasized that while economic struggles are felt globally, the situation in Nigeria is particularly dire. He expressed empathy for those suffering, stating, “If people are not happy, I can’t be happy, too.” The singer highlighted the increasing costs associated with running his household and maintaining his staff, which have soared due to inflation and other economic pressures.

He pointed out that many people, including politicians, are feeling the pinch, and the only way to cope with the current economic climate is to earn in foreign currencies. “The world is hard right now, but Nigeria is harder,” he lamented.

Timaya also discussed the impact of these hardships on the entertainment industry, noting that the costs of producing and promoting music have skyrocketed. He mentioned that while producing a music video used to cost around 1.5 million Naira, the price has now escalated to as much as 100 million Naira.
