In Delta State, a young man and his uncle were arrested for staging a fake kidnapping and extorting N5 million in Bitcoin from the victim's father. The incident highlights a disturbing trend of self-perpetrated crimes, prompting calls for vigilant parenting to prevent such behaviors.

In Delta State, a shocking case emerged as Nelson, a 20-year-old man, and his uncle Jerry Lawrence were arrested for staging a self-kidnapping. Lawrence lured Nelson to his Warri home under the pretense of giving him a PS4, then convinced him to fake his abduction.

They demanded a ransom of N50 million in Bitcoin from Nelson's father, who paid N5 million before their arrest. Both suspects confessed to the scheme, with Nelson revealing that his uncle had already spent N2 million of the ransom without delivering any money.

Police spokesperson Bright Edafe shared details in a video, condemning the crime and urging parental vigilance in upbringing to prevent such behavior in youth.
