Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Christopher Musa has cautioned against the trend of hasty migration abroad, popularly known as the 'Japa syndrome.' During his Christmas and birthday visit to ailing personnel at the Defence Headquarters Hospital in Abuja, Gen. Musa passionately encouraged Nigerians to remain in the country and collectively confront its challenges.
Emphasizing the importance of love for the nation, he highlighted that running away is not a solution, citing the success stories of countries that faced challenges but stood back and fought to achieve progress. Gen. Musa called for a united effort in addressing the security challenges, stressing that it's not a burden solely for the Armed Forces and security agencies.
He urged citizens to take ownership of the challenges, emphasizing the need for collective vigilance and reporting of suspicious activities.
In rallying the public, Gen. Musa underscored that Nigeria's success is intertwined with the success of every individual, urging all Nigerians to contribute to the nation's prosperity and security.
