Hauwa Ali, the widow of the late Lt Col A.H Ali, has declared her resolve against allowing any of her children to join the military following the tragic death of her husband in Delta State.
In an interview with Daily Trust, Ali's widow expressed her devastation over his murder during a peace mission in Okuama community.
The federal government, Nigerian army, and citizens were shocked by the loss of 17 military personnel in a communal clash between Okuama and Okoloba, where gunmen ambushed and killed them, seizing their weapons.
Speaking about her late husband's dedication to his duties, Hauwa Ali praised his commitment to both family and country, highlighting his selflessness and dignified character.
Despite her admiration for his service, she adamantly stated her opposition to her children pursuing military careers, citing her husband's ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
