FCT Minister Nyesom Wike urged Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu, affirming the President's commitment to improving the nation. Wike made these remarks during the launch of the six-lane Arterial Road N5 construction, also known as Obafemi Awolowo Way, in Abuja’s Life Camp. Stressing Tinubu's "Renewed Hope Agenda," Wike emphasized that the administration aims to restore hope for Nigerians by revitalizing essential infrastructure.
According to Wike, ongoing projects across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have progressed thanks to President Tinubu's approvals. The minister highlighted current developments, including contracts for new schools and police stations, aimed at enhancing public safety and welfare. Wike credited Tinubu’s vision for enabling these advancements, as the President extended financial latitude to the FCT to ensure continued progress.
He also underscored the potential economic benefits of the Arterial Road N5 project, noting that it will create jobs, stabilize food prices, and stimulate the local economy. Wike urged the contractor, Julius Berger Nigeria, to complete the road within 14 months, four months ahead of the planned schedule, with the promise of additional contracts if successful.
The Arterial Road N5 project forms part of broader efforts to enhance Abuja’s infrastructure, making the capital more accessible and economically robust for its residents.
