Wizkid has broken a major streaming record with his latest single, "Kese," which surpassed 1.5 million streams on Spotify within just 24 hours of its release. This remarkable achievement has outdone the previous record held by fellow Afrobeats star Davido’s hit "Awuke."
"Kese" is part of Wizkid's newly released album Morayo and has already gained massive popularity, following in the footsteps of his earlier single "Piece of My Heart," which featured American artist Brent Faiyaz and also hit over one million streams on its debut day.
According to Chart Data, Wizkid has claimed the top two spots on Nigeria's music charts for debut-day streams. "Kese" leads the list as the highest-streamed song, with "Piece of My Heart" coming in second. Additionally, Asake’s track "MMS," featuring Wizkid from his Grammy-nominated album Lungu Boy, secured the third spot, amassing 870,000 streams.
