Wizkid reveals he turned down a partnership with Puma due to budget constraints, alleging the brand opted for Davido instead. He claims he is more prominent than fellow artists Rema, Tems, and Burna Boy, igniting discussions about rivalry and celebrity endorsements in the Nigerian music industry.

In a recent social media outburst, Nigerian music star Wizkid explained why fashion giant Puma opted for Davido as their ambassador instead of him. According to Wizkid, Puma initially approached him but eventually moved on after he declined their offer, stating the budget they presented was insufficient for his expectations.

Wizkid claimed that the financial terms Puma offered were better suited for Davido, leading to the latter's selection as the brand's ambassador. "I turned down Puma because they could no longer afford to pay me," he wrote in response to a critic. "The budget they had for Africa wasn’t for me, but it was cool for your client!"

In his defense, Wizkid emphasized his status in the music industry, asserting he is bigger than fellow artists like Rema, Tems, and Burna Boy. His comments reflect ongoing rivalries within the Nigerian music scene, as he attempted to clarify misconceptions surrounding his relationship with Puma and his feelings toward Davido’s success.
