Nigerian superstar Wizkid has dropped a new single titled “Kese Dance”, from his eagerly awaited album Morayo. The song was made available on streaming platforms in the early hours of Friday, following his previous release, “Piece of My Heart”, a collaboration with American artist Brent Faiyaz. “Kese Dance” marks the second track from Morayo, which is set to be released on November 22.
Morayo holds a deep personal connection for the Grammy-winning artist, as it is dedicated to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023. Wizkid shared the emotional tribute with fans, announcing the album's release and urging them to pre-save it.
This release follows a series of successful projects from the Afrobeats icon, including the Soundman Vol. 2 EP in December 2023, featuring collaborations with Wande Coal and Zlatan Ibile. Wizkid has consistently made waves in the global music scene, with previous albums like Made In Lagos (2020) and More Love, Less Ego (2022), the latter of which was recently recognized as the most-streamed Nigerian album on Apple Music.
Wizkid's impact on the global stage continues to grow, further solidifying his position as one of the leading figures in Afrobeats.
