Hafsat Surajo, a 24-year-old housewife from Kano, narrated a distressing incident where she fatally stabbed their domestic staff, Nafiu Hafiz. Paraded before newsmen at the Kano Police headquarters, Hafsat confessed that the unfortunate incident unfolded during a quarrel with Nafiu, who had intervened to prevent her from attempting suicide.

The quarrel escalated, resulting in a cut on Hafsat's hand. Seizing an opportune moment, she picked up a knife and stabbed Nafiu repeatedly.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, revealed that Hafsat's husband and their security guard were also arrested for allegedly concealing the deceased's body. Investigations are ongoing, and Hafsat is set to face charges in court following the completion of the investigation.
