Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has declared that cabinet members who allegedly betrayed him during the recent governorship election will face severe consequences.
The governor accused some allies of undermining him before and during the election, expressing his anger during a closed-door meeting with APC stakeholders in Lokoja. Bello, visibly enraged, vowed not to spare those who hindered his political ambitions.
He specifically pointed to betrayal over his choice of Usman Ododo as his successor, who ultimately won the election. Bello denounced his allies' actions and warned against threats to subordinates, issuing a direct rebuke to a senator from the state.
