Customers of Zenith Bank and GTBank are facing ongoing service issues weeks after their migration to new core banking systems. Reports of failed transactions and missing balances persist, causing frustration among users who are still unable to access their funds despite claims of restored services.

Despite claims of successful migration to new core banking systems, customers of Zenith Bank and GTBank are still grappling with ongoing service issues weeks later. Users have reported a range of problems, including failed transactions and inexplicably vanishing account balances, which have only added to their frustrations.

A Zenith Bank customer, expressed his disappointment, stating that although he managed to log into his app post-migration, his account balance shows zero despite having over N200,000 deposited. “I can’t make any transfers, and while the transaction history shows that money was sent to me, it isn’t reflected in my balance,” he lamented.

GTBank customers are similarly affected. Joy Obi mentioned a transfer initiated on October 15 that has not been processed, leaving her unable to retrieve her funds. “I can't even see my transaction history, and the bank hasn’t addressed my complaints. My money is still stuck,” she said.

Social media has become a platform for expressing discontent, with one user, @brooksweb3, noting that multiple transfers made on October 16 have yet to be completed. Another customer, Oluyomi Tolulope, is demanding a refund after a failed transfer of N300,000.

Despite numerous customer complaints, neither Zenith Bank nor GTBank has provided updates or explanations, resulting in growing dissatisfaction. As other banks like Access Bank prepare for their core banking upgrades, customers are left worried about experiencing similar disruptions.
