Ayodele Oke, Director-General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and David Babachir Lawal, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), on Monday quizzed Oke for hours at the Villa by the Presidential Investigative Panel probing the $43 million found by operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the North-east contract scam.

Daily Independent gathered that suspended Oke told the panel constituted by President Muhammadu Buhari about the mysteries behind the $43 million stashed in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.

“He said that his agency received the money on the orders of former President Goodluck Jonathan in February 2015”, Daily Independent reported.

A source told DailyIndependent that Oke went to the Villa with memos and other documents relating to the transaction.

He was suspended by the presidency last week Wednesday over discovery of large amounts of foreign and local currencies by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an Ikoyi flat.

OMG. GEJ supporters won't see this. That he, his administration milked Nigeria dry and stole the future...

This money belong to all of us (Nigerians) but the money was distributed on order with no proper account.. This is corruption and there is no other name we can call it.

and you kept it for 2 years? Are you sure it was not $60m?
I just hope the panel will ask all salient questions expected to be answered by Mr.Oke and co.
The ordinary citizens know that govt usually add interest charges to tax payable if they didn pay on time. Shouldn't Oke and Co also know the time value of money cum inflation and interest rates?
