The Edo State Commissioner for Sports, Chris Okaeben, shamed his office by engaging in a street brawl with officials of War Against Indiscipline (WAI) in Benin on Monday.
Eyewitnesses report that the brawl began after the WAI officers apprehended a vehicle belonging to a certain Captain Hosa Okunbor who is a close friend of the Commissioner, for violating traffic law around Hexagon junction along Airport road.
The WAI officials had insisted on taking the vehicle to their office for prosecution, but the driver remained adamant, claiming that the vehicle belonged to a political leader, therefore cannot be subjected to any law.
