Barely one day after Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and some members of his cabinet 'swept away' President Goodluck Jonathan after a PDP rally in Kano state, the state's commissioner for Agriculture, Hajiya Baraka Sani has resigned her appointment and defected to the PDP.
Sani’s resignation was announced on a local radio station in Kano yesterday, although no reason was given for the resignation.
THIS DAY reported the Kano state government when contacted over this latest development denied any knowledge of it. Baba Haliru Dantiye, Director of Press to Governor Kwankwaso is quoted saying,"We are not aware of her resignation and nothing at the moment before me points to that. My boss has just departed to India via Lagos on a working visit to assess the condition of our children studying in that country and the trip would also take him to Malaysia.
