105 passengers reportedly escaped death today at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos when a Boeing 737 aircraft belonging to Air Peace suddenly suffered a burst tyre while preparing for take-off.
The incident forced the pilot to abort the flight which was on its way to Abuja; NAN reports. Spokesperson of Air Peace, Christian Iwarah, confirmed the incident.
“The incident happened around 11a.m. as the aircraft was about to take off. The pilot immediately turned around and the passengers were disembarked.
“Another aircraft was provided for them and I can confirm to you that they arrived in Abuja safely a few hours ago,” he reportedly said.
