Nigeria - The House of Representatives yesterday cut off funding for fuel subsidy in passing the N4.493 trillion budget for the 2015 fiscal year, The Citizen reports.
No provision was made for fuel subsidy, which got N200bn in last year's budget, reports say.
Opeyemi Bamidele, chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Legislative Budget and Research promptly lauched into a sharp condemnation of the development and also flayed as paltry the provision of N21 billion for the SURE-P programme.
