A former Ebonyi State chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and now a stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Elder Samuel Igwe, yesterday said that for APC to make any meaningful impact and wrest power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 presidential election, the party must consider giving its presidential ticket to a selfless young politician and someone who has not looted the country.
Speaking with newsmen yesterday in Abakaliki on the chances of APC ahead of the 2015 general election, Elder Igwe said that those who will make impact in the presidential election if given the party’s ticket include the chairman of LEADERSHIP Group, Sam Nda-Isaiah, the former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) boss, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and the Former Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nasir El-Rufai.
He remarked that the younger generations were now taking over the leadership positions of different countries and doing very well for their countries.
