Nigeria's 2017 Budget presentation has suffered a major setback on Thursday as the Senate Committee on Appropriations stepped down the report.
The budget which was presented by President Muhammadu Buhari in December has been hanging at the National Assembly.
The Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan had last Thursday said the report would be laid last Tuesday, passed yesterday and transmitted to the President today.
The Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu said the stepping down of the report was to enable members of the Appropriations committee in both the Senate and House complete the harmonization of their report.
