The four-time Ballor D’ Or champion and Argentina super star, Lionel Messi has hinted that his side, may 'demolish' the Super Eagles' national team during the Russia World Cup.

The Superstar said there is possibility of Argentina to soar over the Eagles in Russia 2018 World Cup.

Nigeria falls in the same group with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in the World Cup scheduled to hold next year between June and July.

Lionel Messi who has had a good number of face-off with Super Eagles, the last being in Brazil 2014, seems to have mastered the craft and knows exactly how the game works for or against the first African team to qualify for Russia 2018.

In an interview with FIFA online, Messi analysed the strength and weakness of the teams in the same group as his country Argentina.

Speaking on the Super Eagles, Messi said “One day they scored four goals, the next one, they left plenty of space for you to do anything”.

His views on Iceland was a lot better than his thoughts about Nigeria as he rated them as an organised team, who are sure going to be tough despite the fact that they will be making their debut at the World Cup.

“Might seem easy, but they (Iceland) are tough and well organised“, Messi said before he gave his analysis on Croatia by saying ”They give you more room to play but they have great players”.

Nigeria will be having its World Cup Group stage match against Argentina in June 26, her last group match, after playing other teams in Group D.
