Ogun state police command have arrested a 24-year-old man, Ehioboh Lucky, for allegedly impersonating billionaire businessman and Globacom chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga.

The suspect, who hails from Edo State, was said to have defrauded one of his victims to the tune of N1,028,770.

He allegedly promised to get employment for a victim at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) before luck eventually ran against him.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the arrest of Lucky, said one IPhone 6, one Dell laptop, eight different SIM cards, five different ATM cards and one international passport were recovered from the suspect.

Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, revealed that the suspect opened a Facebook account with the name and picture of the business mogul.

He added that the suspect had allegedly been using the Facebook account to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

The PPRO, however, said he was arrested following a complaint by one Abiola Olalekan Ogunseye, whom the suspect has defrauded up to the tune of N1,028,770.
