Factional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa State, Chief Perekeme Kpodo, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to order a probe of former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan.
According to him, such development would unravel the financial excesses allegedly perpetrated by Patience in Abuja and Bayelsa State.
1. She incurred excesses during her husband's tenure as president of Nigeria
2. She influenced government process - "many of the ministers during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan were her nominees" he said.
3. She unlawfully "turned Aso Rock into a toll gate"
4. She influenced looting of the Bayelsa state treasury
5. He also said she should be probed for her antecedents during and after the last general elections
According to him, all these "must not be swept under the carpet. We are fully in support of President Muhammadu Buhari on his probe.”
Kpodo, former Interim Chairman of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party, stated this in an interview on Sunday.
