An Abeokuta Chief Magistrates' Court, sitting at Isabo, on Monday ordered that a 64-year-old man, Oluwasegun Adesina-Rasheed, and two others, Samad Ojo, 20, Ope Abeeb, 18, to be remanded in prison for alleged homosexual activities.

The Police Prosecutor, Insp. Banji Sangotokun, told the court that the offence was committed on Feb. 14 at about 11:30 p.m. at Iwe-Iroyin area, Oke-ilewo in Abeokuta.

Sangotokun said the three men engaged in the indecent practice in the Adesina-Rasheed's Honda CRV jeep.

He said the offence contravened Sections 516, 214 (3) and 217 of the Criminal Law of Ogun, 2006.

Adesina-Rasheed of 1 Adenekan St., Elite Road, Idi Aba and the two others of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to the two- count charge of conspiracy and homosexuality.

The Counsel to the accused, Mr Kehinde Amosa, applied for bail of his clients, but the court turned down the request.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr Anthony Araba, who ordered the remand of the trio in Ibara Prison, adjourned the case to Feb. 24 for mention.
