As we await the publish of Obasanjo's new book 'My Watch,' we recall El-Rufai's memoir titled 'The Accidental Public Servant.'
Rumors are circulating in the Nigerian social networkspace that Obasanjo is publishing the book about 10 weeks to the elections to discredit both Atiku and Obasanjo and strengthen Buhari who, we read, is Obasanjo's horse in the 2015 race.
'The Accidental Public Servant' revealed that ex-president Obasanjo had planned to support General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) for the 2011 elections. His apparent plan was to 'cockblock' Jonathan because he believed GEJ was incompetent for the job.
"El-Rufai recalled that Obasanjo, as part of the grand scheme, offered to resign his chairmanship of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party and also fund the opposition coalition against Jonathan," says DailyPost, citing the book.
