Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, yesterday berated President Goodluck Jonathan for dancing at a political rally in Kano, barely 24 hours after scores of Nigerians died in an explosion at a motor park in Abuja.
He wondered why the leadership of the country was more concerned with a political rally than how best to tackle the Boko Haram insurgence; even after he had assured the victims of the blast that they would not be abandoned.
Soyinka stated this while delivering a keynote address at the main opening of the Port Harcourt UNESCO World Book Capital 2014 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, yesterday.
