Four months after his redeployment from the Rivers State Police Command, the Commissioner of Police in Abuja, Joseph Mbu, is yet to vacate his Port Harcourt official quarters for his successor, Johnson Ogunsakin, PREMIUM TIMES has leant.
Mr. Mbu was redeployed from Rivers State on February 6 after several controversies and alleged involvement in the politics of the state.
His role in the politics and violence in Rivers State has been condemned by several Nigerians including the National Assembly and the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC. The official quarters, a white duplex located at No. 24 Force Avenue, Port Harcourt, is reserved for the state’s serving Commissioner of Police.
