Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Okoro has been appointed as a brand ambassador for the Head of State Awards Scheme Ghana (Duke of Edinburgh International Award).
This was revealed at a cocktail reception at the Artist Alliance Gallery in Accra.
Interestingly, Ghanaian singer, Efya Awindor was also appointed a brand ambassador of the scheme.
Both Yvonne and Efya are expected to serve as role models to young Ghanaians who enroll and participate in the programme.
The Executive Director of the scheme, Mr. Peter Akai Anum stated that Yvonne and Efya were chosen due to their positive influence on young people adding that the awards aims at reaching out to more young people as it prepares to celebrate fifty years in Ghana in 2017.
