The plot by some members of the Adamawa State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to impeach Governor Murtala Nyako is suffering a setback as stakeholders in the state have redirected their effort towards wresting the party structure from former national chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
This set of party faithful, LEADERSHIP gathered, are said to be furious about the alleged sole bid by Tukur to make his son, Awwal, the next governorship candidate of the party.
Apart from Tukur’s desire to impose his son as the party flag bearer, some stakeholders, it was also learnt, are becoming unsettled over the high handedness with which Tukur’s cronies are said to be running the affairs of the party.
